My Device is supported, but doesn't work when I plug it in.
There are several things you need to ensure for your device to work.First, make sure you have the latest firmware installed on your router.Second, ensure you have the "tethered data" plan. Some providers offer multiple levels of data service for PDA and Smart phone devices. You need to ensure you can connect it to a computer and use it to connect to the internet.Third, make sure your phone or modem is activated. New devices need to be activated either at a store, or using the connection manager software provided by your cellular carrier.

2. Press and hold the reset button.
3. Continuing to hold the reset button, plug the device into a power source.
4. Release the reset button when the lights flash (Approximately 5 - 10 seconds).
5. The router will restart and be available on the default settings SSID.

I cannot connect to the router. What should I do?
Check to make sure your wireless connection on your computer is enabled. To minimize the chance of problems, make sure you have the latest firmware installed on your router, and download the latest drivers for your wireless adapter.

What is the default password for the router?
It is the last 6 characters of the MAC address, all in lower case.

Where is the label with MAC address, SSID and Serial number information?
For the CTR350, the label should be on the bottom of the unit. For the PHS300, the label is in the battery compartment of the unit. It is covered by the battery itself so you will need to remove the battery to access the label.

What IP address does the router use?
By default, the router will use 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2. So no computer or other device can use those IP address. By default, the router will always occupy the first 2 available IP addresses of any range.

How Do I get my Windows Mobile device connected?

Sprint Phones Running Windows Mobile (Excluding HTC):
Verify you have the "Phone As Modem (PAM)" plan from Sprint. You need to have this plan to enable the tethering capability the router requires.
If you have recently added the PAM plan, make sure to update the internet profile. To do this, take your mobile phone and click on Start->Settings->Vision PCS->Update profile. Note that the name "Vision PCS" is the current name of the profile and is subject to change by Sprint at any time.

Sprint HTC Phones Windows Mobile:
Verify you have the "Phone As Modem (PAM)" plan from Sprint. You need to have this plan to enable the tethering capability the router requires. If you have recently added the PAM plan, make sure to update the internet profile. To do this, take your mobile phone and click on Start->Settings->Phone->Services, Then click on Internet->Get Settings->Update.

Other Windows Mobile Phones:
To ensure the device can connect, you will need to make sure the port on the Windows Mobile phone is configured properly. Some phones will have a "USB to PC" setting, make sure it is set to advanced.
If your device has a connection option in the settings menu, make sure the USB connection is set to ActiveSync RNDIS. All phones should have a connection setup by default.

For all Windows Mobile Phones:
All phones need to be running the internet connection software and it is usually located in either the Start menu or under the \windows directory using the file browser. The default file name of the sharing software is IntShrUI.exe. When running this program, make sure that USB connection is selected for connection type and make sure click connect before you plug into the router. The status will say "Check USB connection" and at that point you should plug the device into the router. If the connection comes up but you are unable to surf, check Status->Device Info to be sure IP address of Windows Mobile device doesn't conflict with Gateway Address of our Router (192.168.0.1). There are two ways to fix this, but we recommend changing your routers IP address. To change this, connect to the router, and go to the "Basic" tab and then the "LAN" menu. There, change the IP address from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1. The Windows Mobile RNDIS Internet sharing uses large amounts of battery so be sure you have the included USB and or Power cable for your device and make sure that the phones battery application shows it is charging. To ensure the longest battery life, make sure you disable non-essential features on your device such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Where is the hardware revision number located?
The Hardware Version is on the label that is located either in the battery compartment or directly on the bottom of the router. The hardware version is designated by either "Version X.X", "H/W Rev. X.X" or "H/W Revision X.X".

Do CradlePoint routers support bridging?
Currently, CradlePoint routers do not support bridging. Bridging is a method of passing the Public IP address from the EVDO or HSPA device to a networked computer or device other than the router.

Why won't my Blackberry connect?
Users with a Blackberry may have to enter the "modem password" that can be set on the Blackberry. This password is independent of the lock password typically associated with using your Blackberry. In the router, you can go to the Advanced tab, then to the Modems Settings menu and enter your password there. The router will enter your password prior to dialing so that your Blackberry will connect properly.

Remote Management and other network services don't work for me! Why?
When trying to connect to your router over the internet, or trying to forward services like remote cameras or devices, the internet relies on IP addresses and ports to connect to those devices. Many carriers block certain ports. Port 80 for example, which is used by internet browsers, is commonly blocked and it makes it so that you cannot connect to your router remotely. With port forwarding in the router, you can bypass some of these problems by using an open port and then redirecting it to a private port. Each carrier may block certain ports and you will need to contact the cellular provider to determine which ports are open and which ports are closed.

Why can't I see my router using Windows XP and WPA/WPA2?
Windows XP can't support WPA and WPA2 unless you have specific hot fixes installed. Please refer to the following support articles from Microsoft to install the appropriate updates for Windows XP.

CTR350 Questions
Where is the reset button on the CTR350?
The reset button is located in back of the unit next to the WAN port.

PHS300 Questions
How can I determine the battery charge level in my PHS300?

The battery LED is green when charged and operational. The battery LED flashes red when the battery power drops below a fixed level. During this state, the LED simply tells you that power dropped below this level. This can be due to extra power draw in low signal areas or due to increased PHS300 processor operations. As the battery charge depletes, the blinking becomes more frequent. When the LED becomes solid red, you have less than 5 minutes of power remaining.

How long does the battery on the PHS300 last?
This is dependant on the signal quality and type of coverage your phone has. In strong signal areas, it will last approximately 2 hours. In areas with low signal quality, it will drain more quickly.

The battery in my PHS300 is very difficult to remove. Is this normal?
Yes, the battery is purposely designed to fit very tightly into the device to ensure the power connection remains constant during battery use.

Where is the reset button on the PHS300?
The reset button is located in the battery compartment under the battery cover. The button is completely accessible without removing the battery.

MBR1000 Questions
What is the WPS button and What does it do?

WPS stands for "Wi-Fi Protected Setup." When you push the WPS button, the router goes into setup mode for 90 seconds in which time, it looks for other WPS devices that are also in setup mode. When they find each other, they setup WPA-Personal Security between the 2 Wi-Fi devices. Additionally, WPS can be setup using a PIN method. The pin number for the MBR1000 is on the label on the bottom of the unit. Please follow the documentation of your Wi-Fi adapter to correctly setup WPS.

What is the SGNL button and what does it do?
The signal button gives you the signal strength for the attached modem. Once in Signal Mode, you can add and remove modems to get signal strengths off multiple modems.

For Firmware Version 1.2 and later:
1. Press and hold the SGNL button for 5 seconds.
2. The SGNL button LED will light the button green.
3. *After a few seconds, the last 4 LED indicators will show signal strength.
4. Press the SGNL button to return to normal operation.
*The modem will be connected and signal strength requested. It can take up to 30 seconds for a device to display signal strength.

The last 4 bars (right most 4) will show signal status in levels of half bars. A solid LED indicates a full bar, and a blinking LED indicates half a bar. 4 bars denote excellent signal, 0 bars denotes poor signal.
